Kwabena offers short and long-term therapy. His focus is in Walking Talk Therapy; the location for this is Lloyd Park, Croydon, UK. However, he also undertakes online work for those clients who are either too far from that locality, or who would simply prefer the in-home online experience.

    Kwabena’s outdoor work has provided clients with a sense of connection to nature promoting relaxation and mindfulness, while encouraging clients to take risks and try new things; this can help develop resilience and self-efficacy.

    Working in this way is an expression of Kwabena’s creativity, flexibility, and adaptability when working with clients.

    These strengths have helped tailor his approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
    It is important to him that he maintains his professional integrity by being a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network.

    The BAATN organisation, amongst its other services supporting therapist, serves Kwabena by assisting increasing his knowledge and participation of decolonising western therapeutic modalities.

    Being part of these organisations is one of the ways Kwabena demonstrates commitment to his on-going development as a Practitioner in a profession he finds enjoyable. This passion keep’s you, the client, at the centre of this service, which in turn creates a psychological safety for the client and builds upon the therapeutic relationship.

    Adding Kwabena’s years of lived experience, he has come to incorporate the ‘Western ways’ of therapeutic training, with ‘Eastern thought, from his years of Vipassana and Reiki practice, which is inspired by his ancestral African roots.
    Kwabena is also working toward accreditation.
